1999 US Mint Proof Set. Made by the US government mint. Coins are packaged in two hard plastic holders and each coin has the proof "S" mint mark. Each coin is double-struck on a highly polished coin blank to create beautifully frosted designs and a mirror-like background. They are the highest-quality examples of that year's circulating coins, but they are made in very limited editions. Each US Proof Set is delivered in the original US Mint packaging. Includes the 1999 "S" dated: Lincoln Cent Jefferson Nickel Roosevelt Dime Kennedy Half Dollar The set also includes the quarters for the 5 states honored in the 1999 50 State Quarters Program - Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia and Connecticut. This is the first year of the 50 state quarter program and is a difficult set to find. Includes the colored box as pictured and the mint's COA (certification of authenticity).
