The Kansas quarter dollar is the 34th coin to be released in the 50 State Quarters® Program. Each two-roll set consists of 80 quarters: one roll of 40 coins with the United States Mint at Philadelphia mint mark and one roll of 40 coins with the Denver mint mark.

The 2005 United States Mint Silver Proof Set™! contains 11 newly minted proof condition coins, seven of them struck in brilliant silver. This set contains the Lincoln cent, the Golden Dollar featuring Sacagawea and includes two new coins from the Westward Journey Nickel Series™. The Roosevelt dime, Kennedy half-dollar and all five of the quarter-dollars minted for the 50 State Quarters® Program in 2005 have been struck in 90% silver, or coin silver.

The 2005 Westward Journey Nickel Series™ features a new obverse of Jefferson and two new reverse designs, the "American Bison" and the "Ocean in View." This set includes six nickels, offering both nickel designs for 2005. Included are two uncirculated Philadelphia "P" mint mark nickels, two uncirculated Denver "D" mint mark nickels, and two proof San Francisco "S" mint mark nickels. The coins are sealed in a clear, protective lens.
